David Nace, MD, MPH, CMD, is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Geriatric Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh. He serves as the Director of LTC and Influenza Programs for the division and as Chief of Medical Affairs for UPMC Senior Communities. Dr. Nace currently serves as AMDA vice president and co-chair of public policy. His research focuses on antimicrobial stewardship and infections in older adults. He has participated in a variety of NIH, CMS, HHS, CDC and AHRQ projects and task forces. He is the principal or co-investigator on a number of AHRQ funded projects addressing antimicrobial stewardship in the LTC setting, including the AMDA supported demonstration project, Improving Outcomes for UTI Management (IOU Study).
