Professor and C.E. Lynn Eminent Scholar in Nursing, Florida Atlantic University

Ruth Tappen, EdD, RN, FAAN, is the Christine E. Lynn Eminent Scholar in Nursing at Florida Atlantic University and the Principal Investigator of the original PCORI-funded research study and the current CMP-supported project in CMS Region IV. She teaches doctoral students at the university and does clinical geriatric research focusing on physical activity in late life, dementia care and other issues related to long term care including reducing unnecessary hospital admissions. She has authored five books on related topics and published about 90 articles on these subjects.
