Verna Sellers, MD, MPH, CMD, is Medical Director for Centra PACE and Geriatrics Services for Centra in Lynchburg, Virginia. She completed a geriatric fellowship and obtained her Master’s in Public Health in Administrative Medicine at George Washington University in Washington, DC. Dr. Sellers is a geriatrician with Centra Medical Group. Centra is a not-for-profit health system that owns and operates 4 acute care hospitals, 4 skilled nursing facilities, a Program of All Inclusive Care of the Elderly (PACE), acute rehabilitation facility and long-term acute care hospital. Dr. Sellers’s has been an active member of AMDA for over 20 years. Dr. Sellers is a community preceptor for the Lynchburg Family Residency Geriatric Fellowship and a Fellow of the American Geriatric Society. She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Geriatric Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Medicine and AMDA – The Society PALTC Medicine. Dr. Sellers is the current chair of the Society’s Core Curriculum Course in Medical Direction.
