Description

Difficulty falling asleep and/or staying asleep, a disorder known as insomnia, is especially prevalent in later life. This program will explore normal and abnormal sleep patterns in older adults and help clinicians more effectively assess and manage insomnia and other common sleep disorders. practical approach to integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for insomnia into your practice.

Learning Objectives:

  • Review normal and abnormal sleep patterns in older adults.
  • Examine common sleep disorders in older adults.
  • Assess non-pharmacologic and pharmacologic treatments for insomnia.
  • Develop a practical approach to integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for insomnia into your practice.
