This presentation will feature presentations by leading experts in geriatric and post-acute behavioral care. Case studies and clinical presentations will highlight effective strategies for implementing evidence-based gradual dosage reductions (GDRs), non-pharmacologic interventions for managing difficult behaviors, best-practices in obtaining maximal reimbursement for identifying and treating depression, clinical protocols for avoiding rehospitalizations, strategies for improving short-term rehabilitation outcomes and other essential ideas for succeeding in the current regulatory and financial landscape.

  • Explain how sub-optimal behavioral health care drives poor clinical and financial outcomes in post-acute care.
  • Define the essential elements of evidence-based behavioral care in skilled nursing facilities.
