Mar 8, 2019 1:30pm ‐ Mar 8, 2019 3:00pm

This presentation will share outcomes and lessons learned from a quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) in a nursing home with over 800 beds that has expanded its focus to include all psychotropic medications after having sustained an antipsychotic rate significantly below the national benchmark for more than five years. The current antipsychotic rate for the nursing home is below 10%, as compared to about 16% nationally. QAPI methods, data, and medication policy will be shared. The presentation will use clinical vignettes to illustrate challenges and solutions.
