Session Description:
This session is mainly based on the new clinical practice guideline of heart failure in long-term care setting. It has three components. First, introduce the process of developing and grading clinical practice guideline in treating heart failure in long-term care setting. Second, update on drug therapy of heart failure in long-term care setting from the new clinical practice guideline of heart failure. Third, discuss how the new clinical practice guideline of heart failure can help decrease re-hospitalization rate of patients with heart failure in long-term care settings?

Learning Objective(s):

  • Describe the process of developing and grading clinical practice guideline of heart failure.
  • Review the evidence-based drug therapy in treating patients with heart failure in long-term care setting from the new clinical practice guideline of heart failure.
