This session will focus on the collaborative and interdisciplinary nature of improving the quality of care and life for PA/LTC residents. It will feature presentations by the Foundation’s 2016 Foundation Quality Improvement (QI) award winner on Urinary Tract Infections in LTC Residents: Improving Quality Measures, as well as presentations from the winners of the 2017 QI & Health Outcome award. These awards are centered on programs that facilities have successfully implemented to improve the quality of life for their residents.
These presentations will form the basis for discussion by Robert Kaplan, MD, FACP, CMD, and Thomas Caprio, MD, CMD. Their discussion will serve to highlight the relationship between individual QI initiatives and larger research projects and trends that strengthen the quality of life across the PA/LTC continuum.
