Session Description:
This session will review the core competencies, training requirements, and documentation required for proper clinical oversight of resident physicians-in-training through case-based examples. An expert panel will discuss with the audience the implications of The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) requirements in their academic long term care practice setting through an open forum. The session will close with an overview of highly successful programs and pearls for effective and efficient teaching of resident physicians-in-training.

  • Review the core competencies, training requirements, and proper documentation for clinical oversight in long term care to ensure meeting both ACGME and Medicare obligations.
  • Discuss the implications of ACGME requirements in your academic long term care practice setting with a panel of experts
