AMDA CMD Credit The Certified Medical Director (CMD) Program has approved this webinar for a maximum of 3.0 credit hours in management education. Credit hours may be applied toward certification as a Certified Medical Director in Long Term Care (AMDA CMD). The AMDA CMD program is administered by the American Medical Directors Certification Program (AMDCP). Each physician should claim only those credits that he/she actually spent in the activity.

This CME activity should take approximately 1.5 hours to complete per part for a total of 3.0 hours for both parts one and two.
Session Description: With the implementation of MDS 3.0, and the new Care Area Assessment (CAA), facilities will need to show they are using evidence-based and expert-endorsed resources. Appendix C in the new MDS manual references the AMDA guidelines. This interactive workshop will familiarize the attendee with the MDS 3.0 Care Area Assessment process and then, using several AMDA guidelines show how to use the guidelines as the care process for the CAA.
