Session Description: This session will discuss the situation in the geriatric care and long term care for elder persons in the Czech Republic. It shall also introduce the Centre of Gerontology, a community based centre and program of complex care for elder persons in the community that was designed in 1991 (soon after political changes in the country) and subsequently introduced into the practice under the support of the Prague 8 District authority.
