Session Description: MDS 3.0 includes clinical tools useful to the clinician for the diagnosis and management of conditions common in the nursing home population. This session will review the Confusion Assessment Method, the Brief Interview of Mental Status, and the Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9). During the session the participants will practice administering the BIMS and PHQ-9. They will also practice interpreting the scales scores.
