Session Description:
This program will discuss procedures that can be easily performed in long term care. It will also discuss the focused, and sometimes, extended reviews required by CMS (psychotropic drug reductions, fall assessments, pain management, weight loss, etc.). Documentation requirements will be discussed and templates to document work will be shown.

  • Discuss special procedures that are reimbursed in the long term care setting and how to document their work.
  • Explain how to bill for special procedures.
  • Describe how to perform regulatory reviews and how to document their work.
  • Explain how to incorporate their reviews with the facility's documentation and regulatory obligations.
