Session Description: Cases from actual surveys will be discussed. The issues will specifically involve possible deficiencies in either physician services or medical director oversight. Audience participation will be actively encouraged.
Describe the importance of physician services both in quality outcomes, as well as survey outcomes.
Discuss the Regulatory Process, specifically as it involves decisions on deficiencies in physician services and medical director.
Use of AMDA clinical practice guidelines in Medical Director oversight of physician services when possible.
Discuss medical director oversight that could prevent adverse outcomes for both patients and facilities.
