Session Description: Assisted living continues to be the most rapidly growing sector of long term care. This session will review issues and controversies in the management of patients in the assisted living setting. Included will be the role of the attending physician, notification policies, the potential role of a medical director, communicating with other members of the IDT, billing and codes, and issues in infection control.
