Session Description:
This session provides attendees with an update on the Clinical Practice Guideline for Dementia that was revised in mid-2008 by the Clinical Practice Committee of AMDA. This is especially relevant to pharmacological options including new indications for cholinesterace inhibitors and anti-psychotic agents. The session is intended for the medical director, primary care physician, Director of Nursing, nursing staff, medical social worker, case manager, nutritionist,rehab specialist, and health care administrator.

  • Discuss the definition and diagnosis of dementia in long term care
