Session Description: As a son, geriatrician and CMD, Dr. Winakur shares the storyof his father’s dementia and reflects on his unique perspective as both physician and caregiver. This is the subject of “Memory Lessons: A Doctor’s Story”, a novel-length memoir-manifesto Dr. Winakur authored that takes issue with the system that seemed to punish his father and the entire family.
