This session will focus on techniques, processes and education that must be in place so all facility staff can support their practice. Sometimes the reluctance to adopt new ways of providing care is fostered by a concern that the new approach might be met with less than open arms by the individuals reviewing practices from a regulatory perspective. Implementation of new approaches that stress the social aspects of life, including patient wishes, is not only possible but is the expectation of all facilities. Making that happen is not as easy as simply saying it! With a working knowledge of the regulations coupled with confidence in care delivery, the change can be realized.
