On November 1, 2007, CMS published the Medicare Program; Revisions to Payment Policies Under the Physician Fee Schedule for Calendar Year 2008. The regulations finalize the increased physician work values for the nursing facility codes that AMDA achieved earlier that year. The new reimbursement levels, effective on January 1, 2008, implement a revised physician fee schedule conversion factor and a budget neutrality adjustment to every work relative value unit (RVU) to offset the work RVU increases produced by the most recent 5-Year Review of RVUs. Hear from AMDA experts who have taken part in the RUC (Relative Value Scale Update Committee) process and learn about the recommendations that AMDA has made to CMS and its local carriers about state-level policy. And learn what this means to you and your practice now and in the near future.
Discuss the latest trends in payment policy and understand AMDA’s role in the 5-year review process.
