Description

This session focuses on the discussion of innovative models of care that maximize the effective use of nurse practitioners in a collaborative practice setting across the continuum of care. Case-based studies will be used to illustrate how nurse practitioners can enhance revenue generation, advance patient safety, and enhance quality of care across all primary care settings including ambulatory care, nursing homes, assisted living, and home care.

  • Describe innovative models of collaborative nurse practitioner and physician practice

  • Examine revenue generating activities of nurse practitioners outside the traditional role of providing episodic visits
