Description

This session is designed to educate and inform medical directors about what obligations and potential legal/financial liabilities may apply to them as a result of the implementation of F Tag 501. A general overview on the subject of what it means to be an independent contractor versus an employee will be provided. There will also be discussion on relevant issues and potential concerns pertaining to professional liability insurance coverage. Lastly, the speaker will present a plaintiff’s lawyer’s perspective on the factors to be considered when determining whether to name a medical director as a defendant in a nursing home related lawsuit.
